Phase 1: Quick Pay Evaluation

Profit target

25K: USD 1,500 · 50K: USD 3,000 · 100K: USD 6,000 · 150K: USD 9,000

tradeday.com
Daily loss

none

No daily limit: TradeDay names the maximum drawdown as its only loss limit. Traders can set their own optional daily or weekly limits in Tradovate.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Maximum loss

25K: USD 1,000 · 50K: USD 2,000 · 100K: USD 3,000 · 150K: USD 4,500 · trailing (end of day)

The floor follows the highest end-of-day balance up and never drops.

Stops: Moves up at the daily close (4 pm CT) from the realised balance, never falls and freezes at the starting balance. The limit is enforced intraday in real time: equity must never touch it.

tradeday.com
Minimum trading days

5 days

Every day with a trade counts, days need not be consecutive; a trading day = session from 5 pm CT to the next day's close. Traders who reach the target early must keep trading in the same style, otherwise the evaluation may be extended.

tradeday.com
Time limit

unlimited

No upper time limit; the monthly subscription renews every 30 days until the evaluation is passed or cancelled. Without an active subscription there is no evaluation.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Consistency rule

≤ 30 % · best day ÷ total profit

keep trading until met

Best day's profit ÷ total P&L of the evaluation so far (not ÷ profit target) may be at most 30%. Otherwise the target rises to best day ÷ 0.30; not a rule breach. Firm's example: target USD 3,000, best day USD 1,200 → keep trading to USD 4,000 total profit. TradeDay's reasoning: very large winning days can signal gambling or excessive risk; the target should be reached with consistent, acceptable risk.

Simulated account with profit shareSIM

"Funded" means here what the firm itself states below.

Account type

Simulated, possibly live later

Funded Sim is a simulated account; payouts come from simulated profits. At USD 10,000 gross profit per account it is paused at the end-of-day run (4:30 pm CT) and reviewed for Funded Live; profit above that is forfeited. Funded Live is a sub-account of TradeDay's master account at its broker (real capital): 90/10 split, professional market data USD 156 per month per exchange, slippage buffer, at most 5 accounts, 3-month cooling-off after a loss. German citizens and Canadians outside Ontario stay in Funded Sim.

Maximum loss

25K: USD 1,000 · 50K: USD 2,000 · 100K: USD 3,000 · 150K: USD 4,500 · trailing (intraday)

The floor follows the highest intraday equity, unrealised profit included.

Stops: Always intraday in the Funded Sim, even after an EOD evaluation. It is based on gross profit (current profit + payouts), so it keeps trailing after payouts; it freezes at the starting balance.

Consistency rule

tradeday.com
Trading days per payout

1 day

First payout after one trading day; afterwards any time with positive profit.

tradeday.com
Profit split

50 %, up to 90 %

Funded Sim, per account: 50% while current profit is below USD 4,000, 80% on the part of a payout above USD 4,000 (firm's example: USD 3,000 out of USD 6,000 profit → USD 1,600 + 500 = 2,100). Funded Live 90%; profits carried into Funded Live are settled under the Quick Pay rule.

tradeday.com
First payout

1 trading day

From the first trading day in the Funded Sim once there is profit above the starting balance; no buffer, no milestones. Minimum USD 250.

tradeday.com
Payout rhythm

on request

Any time with positive profit; never below the starting balance. A new request replaces a pending one.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Minimum payout

USD 250

tradeday.com
Cap per payout

No fixed cap per request is stated. At USD 10,000 gross profit per account the account is paused and reviewed for Funded Live; profit above USD 10,000 is forfeited and not paid out.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Payout fees

TradeDay charges no payout fee; Riseworks charges: international bank wire USD 15, US bank wire free, L1 crypto USD 2.50 plus gas, L2 crypto free; further fees may apply depending on country and bank. Requests before 5:30 pm CT are processed within 24 hours (business days). In Funded Live the trader pays commissions and professional market data (USD 156 per month per exchange).

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Fee refund

no refund

Subscription fees are not refunded with a payout. If KYC/AML fails after a passed evaluation, two help-centre articles name a refund of the passed evaluation's fee; the prohibited-countries article rules out any refund.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Scaling

The Funded Sim keeps the evaluation position limit. In Quick Pay Funded Live it depends on the balance carried over: USD 0–3,000 → 2 contracts / 20 micros (slippage buffer USD 500), USD 3,000–6,000 → 3 / 30 (USD 750), USD 6,000–10,000 → 4 / 40 (USD 1,000); the head of trading may adjust it.

tradeday.com
Inactivity

No inactivity fee and no minimum trading requirement. Tradovate archives accounts without a login for more than one calendar month (the account then counts as failed); TradeDay accounts dormant for 30 days may be offboarded.

Trading rules

News trading

restricted

Tier 1 data releases are blocked (FOMC minutes and rate decision, US CPI, Non-Farm Payrolls for all products; EIA oil and gas inventories for energy; crop reports for ags): TradeDay liquidates open positions 2 minutes before and reopens trading 2 minutes after. Accidental breaches do not fail the account, abuse loses it.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Holding overnight

restricted

Only within one session (5 pm CT to the next day's close): per TradeDay overnight trading is allowed, a position opened in the evening may be held overnight until before the daily close, but never through the daily close. Close all positions at least 10 minutes before the close; TradeDay liquidates at 3:50 pm CT. The terms say "day-trading only". Accidental breaches do not fail the account.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Holding over the weekend

forbidden

Follows from the requirement to be flat before every market close.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
EAs / bots

restricted

Own automated systems only via supported platforms (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Jigsaw, Quantower); no API access. Bots bought from third parties are forbidden, as are strategies with more than 200 trades per day.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Copy trading

restricted

Allowed between own accounts: Evaluation and Funded Sim combined (2 to 10 accounts), Funded Live among themselves (up to 5); not between Funded Live and Evaluation/Funded Sim. Copying from one's own external account is allowed. At most 10 accounts, all with the same broker; one user per household.

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Hedging

forbidden

Being long and short the same product across accounts at the same time is forbidden (offboarding, suspension, loss of all profits in “funded” accounts).

tradeday.freshdesk.com
Max contracts

25K: 2 minis / 20 micros · 50K: 5 minis / 50 micros · 100K: 10 minis / 50 micros · 150K: 15 minis / 50 micros

Applies in the evaluation and the Quick Pay Funded Sim. Micro equivalence (1 contract = 10 micros), micros capped at 50 lots.
