Rules for trader reviews
This is how we handle reviews. They apply to every review alike, whether or not we have a partner agreement with the firm.
What we publish
Own experiences with a firm from our dataset, with programme and outcome. Praise and criticism alike. We do not edit text: a review appears in full or not at all.
Every review is read first
Nothing appears automatically. Until a person has decided, a review is not visible.
When we do not publish a review
Exhaustively: spam; advertising (including discount codes and partner links); clearly not an own experience, or a hidden relationship with the firm; insulting a person; other people's personal data (names of staff, contact or account numbers); unlawful content; no connection to the firm; the same review a second time.
What is not a reason
A bad experience, a low rating, a harsh tone on the substance or an objection by the firm. We remove negative reviews only for legal reasons.
When we remove a published review
Only for unlawful content, personal data, a court or authority order, if it later turns out not to be based on own experience – or at the author's request. How often this happens and why is shown in the moderation record.
Nothing in return
We do not pay for reviews, run no prize draws and give no discounts for them. Firms can neither buy reviews nor have them removed; a partner agreement changes nothing about that.
Disclose relationships
Anyone who works for the firm, is its affiliate partner or works for a competitor must say so. The disclosure is shown with the review.
Reply from the firm
A firm can send us a reply to a review (info@propcrab.io). We add it unchanged below the review and label it as the firm's reply.
Protection against abuse
Per connection at most 3 reviews in 24 hours and 1 per firm in 30 days; the same text is accepted only once. If more than 5 reviews of one firm arrive within 24 hours, we examine them together. No IP address is stored for this, only a check value computed with a secret key, for 30 days. We do not accept receipts or screenshots.
Stars only from 5 reviews
Stars – including those of a single review –, average and outcome counts appear only from 5 approved reviews per firm. Below that, only the reviews themselves. There is no overall score and no ranking by stars, and we do not import ratings from other platforms (such as Trustpilot).
Reporting
Every published review has a “Report this review” link. We examine every report and decide; a report alone removes nothing. If you give an email address, you will hear the outcome.
Deletion on request
To have your own review deleted, write to info@propcrab.io with the link to the review. As we store no email address, we cannot verify authorship with certainty; we ask back when a request clearly does not come from you.
