    FundingPips

Concerns the futures brand FundingTicks, according to TradeInformer on 19 January 2026 the futures arm of FundingPips, not the FundingPips programmes recorded here: FundingTicks announced it was winding down its operations "as a strategic decision". According to the notice on fundingticks.com, active evaluation and Master accounts are refunded in full; live accounts additionally receive shares of profit and of the initial balance depending on their state. According to Finance Magnates on 19 January 2026, the move followed a backlash against new trading rules introduced in December 2025.

  2. Data breach

    Topstep

According to Finance Magnates on 5 January 2026, Topstep told some users by letter that files containing personal data may have been accessed without authorisation between 8 September and 16 October 2025; the letter links this to a DDoS attack on 8 September 2025. Topstep Support then wrote on X that Topstep's systems had not been breached and that a small number of traders who reused passwords from other, breached sites were affected. According to the letter, affected users get free credit monitoring.

How this log is made

  • Only what a firm's record documents with a source appears here: a change-log entry, a new rule version, an event or a regulator warning. Unchecked hints never do.
  • Rules are never overwritten, only versioned. The earlier version stays readable on the firm profile while it still governs existing accounts.
  • The date is the start the firm states. Where it states none, it is the date we first observed the rules – and marked as such.
  • "Applies to" is the scope the source gives: new purchases, or existing accounts too. Where it is missing, it says "not stated".
  • Before and after values are shown exactly as recorded in the dataset, so no meaning is lost in a rewrite.
